EXPLORE CREATIVE TECHNOLOGY

"PLAY WITH TECHNOLOGY."
-
Dates: 30 July - 3 June 2026
-
Highlights: Exploring creative technology through coding, motion, interaction, and digital experimentation
-
Objective: Students explore how technology can be used creatively through beginner-friendly coding workshops. By experimenting with visuals, motion, and interactive media, students develop personal digital ideas and learn how concepts can be transformed into creative digital works.
This course is for students interested in:
-
Creative coding and digital art
-
Interactive media and motion design
-
Visual experimentation with technology
-
Combining logic and imagination
4-Day Learning Journey:
Day 1 — Visual Creation & Creative Coding
Explore creative coding through digital image-making and visual experimentation. Students will learn how shapes, colours, and composition can be transformed into still visuals through code.
Students will explore:
-
Creative coding fundamentals
-
Shapes, colour, and visual composition
-
Still image creation through code
-
Visual experimentation and digital graphics

Day 2 — Motion, Animation & Generative Design
Experiment with movement, animation, and repetition to create dynamic visual experiences and generative patterns.
Students will explore:
-
Animation and motion principles
-
Movement and timing in digital media
-
Pattern generation through repetition
-
Generative visual systems

Day 3 — Interactive Media & Sensor Exploration
Develop interactive experiences through coding, user interaction, and basic sensor experimentation. Students will begin developing ideas for their own creative technology project.
Students will explore:
-
Interactive media concepts
-
User input and responsive visuals
-
Basic sensors and physical interaction
-
Creative project development

Day 4 — Final Project Development & Presentation
Refine and complete final projects while preparing for presentation, feedback, and showcase discussion.
Students will explore:
-
Project refinement and development
-
Interactive project presentation
-
Creative technology communication skills
-
Final showcase and feedback discussion

By the end of the course, students will create:
-
Creative coding experiments
-
Animated and generative visual works
-
Interactive media prototypes
-
Digital works suitable for creative portfolio development
