The START Explore curriculum is designed for students to experience real-world design disciplines before committing to a university major. Through hands-on workshops in a studio-based environment, students are encouraged to think, experiment, and refine their ideas under close guidance.

What you will gain:

  • Identify your personal interests and creative strengths.

  • Learn design thinking processes and fundamental principles.

  • Build confidence through making.

  • Create preliminary works to kickstart your future Portfolio.

We prioritize the process of thinking and evolving ideas over seeking "perfection" in the final result.

Studio Mentors

Our team consists of professional designers and academics with real industry experience and university teaching backgrounds. Students will experience an authentic studio atmosphere that mirrors higher education in design.
