Program Philosophy
The START Explore Program is designed to give students a real studio experience before applying to university. Through guided workshops and hands-on projects, students engage in creative processes similar to those used in higher education design programs.
Students will:
-
Discover personal interests and strengths
-
Develop basic creative thinking & design processes
-
Build confidence through making and experimentation
-
Produce creative work suitable for portfolio development
Each course emphasizes process, experimentation, and idea development over perfection.
Teaching Team | Studio Mentors
START Explore is led by a team of professional designers and university-level instructors with real industry and academic experience.

Our mentors are experienced in studio-based learning and understand how to guide high school students who are preparing for creative university pathways.

Students receive close feedback, structured design guidance, and insight into how creative disciplines are taught at university level — all within a supportive small-group studio environment.
