Highlights: Exploring the fashion design process from inspiration to mini collection development

Objective: Students explore fashion as a form of creative expression through styling and sketching. By creating imaginative outfit concepts based on personal ideas, students experience how inspiration can be transformed into visual form.

4-Day Learning Journey:
Day 1 — Inspiration & Fashion Identity
Explore fashion as a form of self-expression through mood boards, visual research, and personal inspiration.
Students will explore:

Mood board creation

Personal concept development

Day 2 — Fashion Illustration & Styling
Learn how to communicate fashion ideas through sketching, outfit concepts, and styling experimentation.
Students will explore:

Character and styling concepts
-
Fashion sketch communication

Day 3 — Materials, Textiles & Collection Development
Experiment with fabrics, textures, colours, and material combinations while developing a mini fashion collection.
Students will explore:

Mini collection concept development

Day 4 — Collection Refinement & Final Presentation
Complete and refine final works while preparing for presentation, feedback, and discussion.
