In collaboration with Dance for All Thailand

We proudly present MADi, a new creative workshop that introduces children and young people to the world of art through movement, music, dance, imagination, and hands-on creative exploration.

This two-hour workshop invites participants to discover the lives and works of world-renowned artists, including Yayoi Kusama, Jackson Pollock, Wassily Kandinsky, and Piet Mondrian, through a unique multidisciplinary learning experience.

Rather than learning about art only by looking, children will experience it through their whole bodies. They will explore how visual art can be expressed through movement by transforming lines, shapes, colors, forms, and textures into physical expression, while connecting these ideas with the elements of dance through Laban Movement Analysis (LMA).

Throughout the workshop, participants will engage in movement games, theatre activities, live music, group exploration, creative interpretation, and hands-on art making. They will be encouraged to use their imagination, communicate through the body, collaborate with others, respond to music, and develop their own artistic voice.

In the first part of the workshop, children will explore the artists’ stories and artworks through movement and music, creating short performance moments inspired by the artworks they encounter.

In the second part, participants will dive into hands-on art-making, guided by Italian art educator and designer, Michela Currone. The group will explore collaborative creation and create their own individual artwork to take home.

The workshop will be led by Kru Som, founder of Dance for All Thailand, alongside professional dancers and choreographers as our teaching assistants. Michela Currone will then guide the design activities, helping participants visually express the artistic themes they just explored through movement. Furthermore, participants will also experience live music by Kru Ann Ting A Tong, creating a joyful, playful, and immersive learning atmosphere.

MADi offers a fresh and inspiring way for children to connect with art — through the senses, the body, imagination, play, and creative experimentation.

"Come move, think, play, experiment, create, and begin an artistic adventure with us at WOOFPACK creative space, Saladaeng Soi 1"
